Export your rides, runs and walks as GPX or FIT

Take any activity out of Motionry as a GPX or FIT file, free and with no account. Move it to Strava, Garmin Connect, TrainingPeaks or any app that reads them.

What you can export

Any ride, run or walk you record in Motionry can be exported as a GPX file or a FIT file, whether you started it on your iPhone or on your Apple Watch. Export is part of the free plan, and there is no account to create.

The file is made on your iPhone and goes only where you send it. Motionry does not upload it anywhere.

GPX or FIT: which one?

Both formats store where you went and when. They differ in what else they are built to carry and where they are accepted.

Not sure? Export FIT for a training platform and GPX for a map or route tool. You can export the same activity both ways.

How to export an activity

  1. Finish and save your ride, run or walk in Motionry. It is saved to Apple Health as well.
  2. Open the activity from your activities list.
  3. Choose to export it, then pick GPX or FIT.
  4. Send the file with the iOS share sheet: save it to Files, AirDrop it to a Mac, email it, or open it in another app.
  5. Import it where you want it. Strava, Garmin Connect and TrainingPeaks each have an upload page on their website that accepts GPX and FIT files.

Questions

Is exporting free?

Yes. GPX and FIT export are included in the free plan. Motionry Pro adds charts, the route map coloured by zone, and video and sticker shares.

Do I need an account?

No. Motionry has no account and no server that holds your activities, so exporting never involves signing in.

Does the file leave my iPhone by itself?

No. Nothing is sent until you choose a destination in the share sheet. Once you send it, the receiving app's own privacy policy applies.

Can I export an activity I started on my Apple Watch?

Yes. Finish on the wrist and the activity is waiting on your iPhone, where you can export it like any other.

Hold the right effort.
