Terms of use
These terms cover your use of the Motionry app for iPhone and Apple Watch and of this website. They are written to be read.
Agreement
By downloading or using Motionry, or by using this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the app.
Our privacy policy explains how data is handled and is part of these terms.
Using the app
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use Motionry on Apple devices that you own or control, as the App Store rules allow.
Please do not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell or misuse the app, or use it to break the law, except where the law gives you those rights.
Health and safety
Motionry is a fitness app. Heart rate zones, training load, recovery figures and other estimates are for general fitness use. They are not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
Heart rate from a watch or a strap, and GPS data from your phone, can be inaccurate. Exercise carries risk. You are responsible for your own safety, so keep your eyes on your surroundings and do not use your phone when it is unsafe, for example while riding in traffic.
Pro and payments
Motionry is free to download. Motionry Pro is an optional subscription sold through your App Store account, at the price shown in the app. It includes a free trial for new subscribers. Apple handles payment, and Motionry never sees your card or billing details. Nothing is sold on this website.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel in Settings › Apple ID › Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies. Prices and taxes can vary by country.
Your data
Your activities stay on your iPhone and Apple Watch. Motionry has no account and no server that holds them, so keeping a backup is up to you, for example through your iPhone's own backups. Deleting the app removes its data from your iPhone.
The images, videos, GPX and FIT files you create belong to you. They go only where you send them, and we do not receive them.
Other services
Motionry works with services from other companies, including Apple (the App Store, Apple Health and Apple Watch), Mapbox for maps and Google Firebase for anonymous analytics. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them, and we are not responsible for them.
Ownership
The Motionry app, website, design, code, name and logo belong to us or our licensors. These terms do not give you any ownership of them. Apple, the Apple logo, iPhone and Apple Watch are trademarks of Apple Inc.
Liability
Motionry is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that its measurements and estimates are accurate.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for injury or loss that comes from using the app during activities that carry risk. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.
Changes and contact
We may update the app, its features and these terms. If we change the terms in a meaningful way, the date at the top of this page will change. If you keep using Motionry after that, you accept the updated terms. You can stop at any time by deleting the app, and we may suspend access if these terms are broken.
